At this point, the insurance adjustor is doing his thing and they will not know anything for a few days it seems.  Nor will they be able to get into the house and begin sifting through to see what if anything is salvageable.
As you can imagine, they are stunned by all this.  Grateful for everyone’s safety, but overwhelmed at the magnitude of the loss.
They are staying with their daughter and son-in-law for the time being  until they know more from the insurance company..
Ways we can help at this point:
1.  They are so very grateful for everyone’s prayers and offers to help.  As  you can imagine, their phones are ringing off the hook, and they physically and emotionally cannot take each call.  If we could limit the direct contact with them, it will relieve them somewhat.  Call the church office if you would like more information, and we’ll tell you everything we know.  And please try to pass this email info around to other RHBC members.
2.  As to immediate help, until the insurance is settled, their greatest needs are for some immediate things, and their daughter has suggested at this time, cards from Meijer or WalMart, Kohls or JCP,  or a mall gift card would be most helpful.  
You can drop them by the church and we’ll make sure they are delivered…
 
or
you can give money directly to the church for them, that they can use as  particular needs arise in the near future. 
 3.  They need a kennel for a small to medium sized dog (11 lb. pekingnese)

We are moving forward on an exciting spiritual journey that we are calling “4 The Next Generation.” As we work toward a new youth and children’s addition to our present building, we will be growing in our faith as we step out and trust God to provide for the building of His Kingdom.

There is still time to express your interest in helping in one of the many areas of work needed. Contact the church office or fill out the online contact form, to let us know of your interest in helping with one of the campaign committees.

Events to look forward to:
Hour Prayer Vigil – April 20, Begins at 6:00 pm
Everyone will benefit spiritually from joining in the 24 Hour Prayer Vigil. This is not a time to pray for our building campaign, but a time to pray for the needs of our congregation. Help us invite the Spirit of God to work as only He can to truly change this campaign into a “spiritual campaign” that leads the entire church to grow in His love.

Presentation Sunday – April 22, 2012 at 11:00 am ( unified service)
This will be the only service of the day and a very important one you won’t want to miss. We will be presenting the building project, unveiling a scale model of the project, announcing campaign goals and much more.

Celebration Event – May 20, 2012, 5:00 pm
Everyone is invited to the biggest celebration meal our church has ever put on, to be held at The Rock Community Center, a recently-built facility at First Baptist Church1072 Hicks Blvd., Fairfield, OH  45014. Members will be contacting every family to>invite them to this very special event. There is no cost to attend.
